Nkemjualem Moses, affectionately known as “Nda Mos” in Fontem, Liabialem, is a man of remarkable spirit. To us, his children, he is a lively and sociable man who built a legacy through hard work and dedication.
Dad was a successful entrepreneur who began his journey early, owning a provision store at just 20 years old with a starting capital of 14,000 CFA. He later expanded his career, transitioning to an office license holder, a contractor, and a councilor. His passion for his community also led him to become the president of FECA-FOOT Fontem.
We are incredibly proud of all his achievements and, most importantly, the vital role he played in each of our lives. He worked tirelessly to ensure we all received an education, and for that, we will forever be grateful. His strong work ethic has inspired and shaped most of us as we’ve grown older.
Thank you, Dad, for everything. With love from all your children.
Nkem-Amin Emenyi, affectionately known as “Ndo Emenyi” in the Fontem, Lebialem community, you are a true inspiration. Like many women of your time, you married early, yet your energy has always been remarkable. You are a true fighter and a pillar of strength.
As a well-known local farmer and restaurant owner, you worked tirelessly, enduring sleepless nights and long walks to the farm to ensure that your eight children were always fed. Your famous fufu and eru was more than just a meal; it was the foundation of our success.
Your kindness is as legendary as your work ethic. You have a phenomenal gift for giving, and many in our village have benefited from your generosity and charitable spirit. You provided essentials to the needy, like rubbing oil, even to people you didn’t know. You also took the initiative to buy power banks for doctors at Mary Health Hospital to use in emergencies. This same kindness and tireless dedication are qualities that you have passed on to all of us. Even when you don’t have much for yourself, you remain hardworking and generous.
You have been the quiet strength behind every step we have taken, the unwavering support through every storm, and the example we look to when we think of resilience, sacrifice, and unconditional love.
Thank you, Mom, for everything. With all our love, Your children
